Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr Primary Responsibilities Conduct vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and reviews of security architecture. Develop and implement monitoring systems to identify and assess potential security risks. Set key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of security measures. Manage incident response efforts, including threat identification, investigation, containment, and resolution. Create and maintain vulnerability management procedures, including asset classification, risk assessment, remediation tracking, and exception management. Keep up-to-date security documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Improve security monitoring through alert adjustments and process automation. Ensure mobile device security is maintained by applying necessary security settings. Partner with IT teams to manage patching and security hardening processes. Lead or assist in security projects aimed at enhancing the organization’s security framework. Participate in an on-call schedule for handling security incidents. Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in security operations, threat management, or vulnerability management. Strong grasp of risk management frameworks and security best practices. Experience in responding to security incidents in complex, large-scale environments. In-depth knowledge of cyber threats, attack methods, and defense strategies. Proficiency in security metrics and presenting reports to executives. Strong technical writing skills for creating documentation and developing processes. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to solve problems under pressure. Effective communication skills with experience in managing stakeholders. Technical Skills Expertise in vulnerability management tools and SIEM platforms. Familiarity with security frameworks (such as NIST, CIS, ISO). Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques. Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms. Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation. Practical experience in cloud security (Azure, AWS, etc.). Experience with ITIL-based ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred). Preferred Skills Experience with security automation tools. Background in security operations within regulated industries. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Industry-recognized security certifications (CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, CEH, OSCP). Active involvement in the cybersecurity community.
