Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking a Summer/Fall 2024 Data Science Intern in our Fort Collins, CO location but can support remotely. We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical-minded individual to join our dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth. This internship will provide hands-on experience in data processing, analysis, and visualization, supporting our efforts to make data-driven decisions. You will receive mentorship from experienced data analysts and exposure to real-world analytics challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in collecting and analyzing large datasets.
Review drafts of detailed requirement analysis and process documentation for grammatical usage.
Manage tasks in Team Foundation Server system and assist with assignment.
Provide Excel support to non-technical users.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various analytics projects.
Participate in the development and implementation of data analysis tools and algorithms.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a federal security clearance.
A HS diploma and some advanced level training.
Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related analytical field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with Excel.
Strong foundational knowledge with Data Science/Analytic tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus, but not required.
Previous hands-on internship experience.

Target Salary Range:
The rate / range per hour below represents the typical pay for this position based on experience and other factors.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range:
$20-$25/hour
